please use brackets to establish the correct order of operation.
the way you have it typed, only the -81 gets divided by x, and only the -9 gets divided by x
I have a feeling you meant ...
(x^2 - 81)/x + (x-9)/(x+5)
You also said "divide", was the + sign supposed to be ÷ ??
