A car of mass 1670 kg is traveling without slipping on a flat, curved road with a radius of curvature of 34 m. If the car's speed is 14 m/s, what is the frictional force between the road and the tires?

  • Physics - ,

It is the centripetal force, M V^2/R.

    I get 8610 Newtons

  • Physics - ,

    F(fr) = m•a = m•v²/R =
    =1670•(14)²/34 =9627 N
