you have requirement that men must be at least 74 in tall and women must be at least 70 in tall. the men height is 69 in +/-2.8 and women mean height is 63.6 +/-2.5. If the requirement s changed so that the tallest 4% of men and women are eligible, what would be the new minimum heights for men and women?

Z = (score-mean)/SD

Find table in the back of your statistics text labeled something like "areas under normal distribution" to find the proportion (.04) and its Z score. Insert in above equation and solve.
