1.

x^2+6x+4y+5=0

2.

y^2+12x+2y+=-25

- Math -
**Reiny**, Monday, May 7, 2012 at 9:36pm-4y = x^2 + 6x +5

= x^2 + 6x + 9 - 9 + 5

= (x+3)^2 - 4

divide both sides by -4

y = (-1/4) (x+3)^2 + 1

try the second the same way.

(looks like some kind of type, what does .. 2y+=-25 mean ?)
