A ball its thrown straight up into the air at 50 m/s find the balls velocity after 8 seconds show all work please

v = vₒ - g•t ,
At the highest point v=0, =>
the time of the motion to the highest point is
t = vₒ/g = 50/9.8 = 5.1.
t1 = 8 – 5.1 = 2.9 s.
At the instant when we have to find
the velocity the ball is free falling during 2.9 s.
Its velocity is v =g•t =
= 9.8•2.9 = 28.42 m/s.
