r^2 = 20/8 = 5/2

r = (5/2)^.5

so

8 8(5/2)^.5 8(5/2) 8(5/2)^1.5 8(5/2)^2

fifth term = 8(25/4) = 50

Sn = 8(1-r^n)/(1-r)

S3 = 8 (1-(2.5)^1.5)/(1 -2.5^.5)

40.65
