theperimeter of a rectangle is32 ft. The lenght is 12 ft longer than the width. Find the dimensions. Write a system of linear equations and solve the resulting system. Let x be the lenght and y be the width

2x-2y=
write the second equation
x=y+
what is the lenght ? ft

x = y + 12

2x + 2y = 32

Substitute y+12 for x in second equation and solve for y. Insert that value into the first equation and solve for x. Check by inserting both values into the second equation.
