I'll send this and your other post to SraJMcGin.
Both “pero” and “sino” are conjunctions meaning “but.” “Sino” is u sed when the first part of the sentence is negative and the part after the con junction directly contradicts what is negated in the first part. Almost always “rather,” “but rather” or “instead” could also be used to translate “sino” but not “pero.”
Examples: Me gustaría salir, pero no puedo. - I would like to leave, but I can’t. versus María no es baja sino alta. - Mary isn’t short, but rather tall. (tall being the opposite of short)
Use “sino que” when this conjunction precedes a conjugated verb.
Example: Pedro no enseña francdés sino que enseña español. - Peter isn’t teaching French but (rather) he is teaching Spanish.
Now look at the examples you have, fill in the blanks and we’ll check them for you.
