the purpose of the 1st paragraph is to introduce the topic of seals washing ashore in large numbers this year that's what i put, give details about how animals are treated at the center, come to conclusion about why so many seals have washed ashore this year or explain the dangers that marine animals face. from the story busy season for marine animal rescuers
