What is the difference between storage media and storage devices?

I would take storage media to mean any of the following:

a disk (CD or DVD or ??)
a flash/thumb drive
a zip disk (old fashioned!)
floppy disks (also very old fashioned!)
etc.

I would take storage devices to mean any of the following:
external or internal hard drive
external back-up drive
external company (such as www.carbonite.com)

Thanks.

I can't get my answer

Storage media and storage devices are two related but distinct concepts in the context of computer storage.

Storage media refers to the physical materials that hold data or information. These materials can be in different formats, such as magnetic, optical, or solid-state. Examples of storage media include hard disk drives (HDDs), solid-state drives (SSDs), CD-ROMs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, magnetic tapes, and USB flash drives. The storage media are the actual physical objects that store the data.

On the other hand, storage devices are the components or devices that use the storage media to read from or write to them. These devices are responsible for managing the data transfer between the storage media and the computer system. They include components such as hard disk controllers, optical drives, USB ports, and solid-state drive controllers. Storage devices provide the interface and functionality to access the data stored on storage media.

To summarize, storage media refers to the actual physical materials where data is stored, while storage devices are the components or devices that enable access to and manipulation of the data on the storage media.
