Describe the linear programming situation for this system of inequalities.

x < 1 y > 0 3x + y < 5
the answer is unbounded. please tell me why

3x+y < 5
is everything under and to the left of the line

y = 5-3x

and above the x-axis

There is no bounding x-value on the left, so the shaded area extends indefinitely.
