**Steve**, Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 4:42am1/d + 1/(d+4) = 1/(3/2)

d+4 + d = 2/3 d(d+4)

6d + 12 = 2d^2 + 8d

2d^2 + 2d - 12 = 0

d^2 + d - 6 = 0

(d+3)(d-2) = 0

d = 2

1/2 + 1/6 = 1/(3/2)

works for me
