What is the belt speed (ft/min) if there is no slip between the belt and drum?

- math - please help -
**Anonymous**, Friday, March 30, 2012 at 8:18pm1 revolution per minute = 2r pi [ in ] / min

r = radius

130 revolutions per minute = 130 * 2 * r * pi = 260 * r * pi [ in / min ]

In this case r = 7 / 2 = 3.5 in

Velocity = 260 * 3.5 * pi = 2858.8493 in / min

1 ft = 12 in

Velocity = 285.8493 / 12 =

238.23744166 ft / min
