speed of train B --- x mph
speed of train A --- x - 18 mph
for A: time to go 190 miles = 190/(x-18)
for B: time to go 280 miles = 280/x
but these two times are equal, so ....
190/(x-18) = 280/x
280x - 5040 = 190x
70x = 5040
x = 72
