Eight white socks and four red socks are in a drawer. If two socks are selected at random, what is the probability that both socks are the same color?

prob of RR = 4/12(3/11) = 12/132
prob of WW = 8/12(7/11) = 56/132

prob of 2 "like" socks = 68/132 = 17/33
