From the pizza shop, James walks 12 blocks south, 22 blocks east, 18 blocks north, and 30 blocks west. What is the least number of blocks that he must travel if he returns to the pizza shop?

Let East=+x, North = +y
(2,3) means 2 blocks east, 3 blocks north.

From (0,0), he walks (22,-12) then (-30,18)
He ends up at
(0+22-30,0-12+18)=(-8,6)
or 8 blocks west and 6 blocks north.
What is then the least number of blocks to return to the pizza shop?
