.3 = 3 tenths = 3/10

.40 = 40 hundredths = 40/100 = 4/10 = 2/5

.60 = ?

.08 = 8 hundredths = 8/100 = 2/25

.12 = ?

.55 = ?

Write 0.25 as 25/100, and then reduce it to lowest terms by dividing numerator and denominator by the greatest common divisor (25 in this case). That will change the fraction to 1/4.

0.08 = 8/100 = 2/25.

Try to figure out the rest.

Repeating decimals such as 0.333..., 0.666...
and 0.142857142857...
require a special treatment. They can also be converted to fractions. (1/3, 2/3 and 1/7 for those examples)
