Two hundred four students go to after school care at Ming's school. The students are divided into 12 equal groups. Six groups play on the playground while 6 gropus work on their homework. What is the greatest number of students that play on the playground at 1 time?
I divided 12 and 204 then I multiplied 17 and 6
looks good to me.
since division is not commutative like multiplication, it makes no sense to say you "divided 12 and 204". Better would have been either
divided 12 into 204
divided 204 by 12
