Homework Help: geometry

In the graph below, point D is reflected across the y-axis. What are the coordinates of it's image?
The graph looks like D is below the x-axis to the right 3 places from y-axis and down 1 place from x-axis.
So would my answer be (3,1)?

no, that would be its reflection across the x-axis.

(3,-1) --> (-3,-1)

think about folding the graph along the y-axis. The y-values don't change.
