There are 24 students in Mrs.Smith's 1st block class. 1/4 of the class passed the math test with an A. 12 students in the class passed the math test with a B. What percent of the students in the class passed the test?

This is how I slove the problem, but I stuck in the middle of the problem. Need help to find the percent of the students in the class passed the test.

First step: 1/4 students passed with an A...24÷4=6. So there are 6 students got an A.

Second step: 12 students passed with a B. Then add A & B (6+12=18) students and found out 18 students are passed the test.

But how to find the percentage?

To get the parentage you divide 18 by 24 and you get 0.75.

P.S I will help with everyone's questions if I have time or if I can. :)

13 people take a test & 11 passed what percentage passed

18/100= 18%

To find the percentage of students in the class who passed the test, you need to divide the number of students who passed by the total number of students in the class, and then multiply by 100 to get the percentage.

In this case, you found that there are 18 students who passed the test (6 with an A and 12 with a B). To find the percentage, divide 18 by the total number of students in the class, which is 24.

18 ÷ 24 = 0.75

To convert the decimal into a percentage, multiply by 100.

0.75 × 100 = 75

So, 75% of the students in Mrs. Smith's 1st block class passed the math test.
