6 ( x - 6 ) + 2 = 8 ( x + 2 ) - 8
6 * x + 6 * ( - 6 ) + 2 = 8 * x + 8 * 2 - 8
6 x - 36 + 2 = 8 x + 16 - 8
6 x - 34 = 8 x + 8
6 x - 8 x = 8 + 34
- 2 x = 42 Divide both sides by - 2
x = 42 / ( - 2 )
x = - 21
