your statement of sin=35 x/4.1 makes no sense,
it simply says that 35 x/4.1 is a sin.
did you mean to say ....
let the height be x m
then
sin 35° = x/4.1
x = 4.1(sin 35°) = appr 2.35m
4.1 is opposite the right angle and 35 degrees is on the longer leg and x is on the shorter leg. Does that seem to help? So is this still the same way to work the problem out? Thanks so much for your help!!
