A slide 4.1 meters long makes an angle of 35 degrees with the ground. To the nearest tenth of a meter bow far above the ground is the top of the slide?
sin=35 x/4.1
x=4.1 sin=35
not sure how to do this

your statement of sin=35 x/4.1 makes no sense,
it simply says that 35 x/4.1 is a sin.
did you mean to say ....
let the height be x m
then
sin 35° = x/4.1
x = 4.1(sin 35°) = appr 2.35m
4.1 is opposite the right angle and 35 degrees is on the longer leg and x is on the shorter leg. Does that seem to help? So is this still the same way to work the problem out? Thanks so much for your help!!

Yea it is the same to work the problem!

A large totem pole is 75 feet tall. At a particular time of day, the totem pole casts 300 feet shadow. Find the measure of angle A to the nearest degree.
