If the base of a triangle is represented by x + 4 and the height is represented by 2x, which expression represents the area of the triangle?
1.(x + 4) + (2x)
2.(x + 4)(2x)
3.
4.(x + 4)(2x)

    It would help if you proofread your questions before you posted them.

    I don't know what 3 was, but the area = 1/2hb = 1/2(2x)(x+4).

    Also 2 is typed as identical to 4.
