If a flagpole casts a shadow of 300 ft. and a person standing 6ft tall casts a shadow of 400 ft. at the same time of day. How tall is the flagpole?

  • MATH - ,

    set up a ratio because you have similar triangles ....

    h/300 = 6/400
    h = 6(300)/400 = 4.5

    something is not right here.
    I doubt if a person 6 ft tall will cast a shadow of 400 ft.

    check you typing and make the appropriate changes to the above calculation
