Christopher has cut three pieces of string to three kites.two pieces are equal length. rhw third pieces is one half of the lenght of each of the others. he cut out the three pieces from a roll of string 70 meters long without any String left over.Find the number of meters of in each piece

Let x = the longer piece of string

2x + 0.5x = 70

2.5x = 70

x = 70/2.5

x = ?
