Homework Help: Math

Posted by Jane on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 12:15pm.

Sometimes I get confused with the inequalities.

You have $47 to spend on music and movie downloads. Each album down load cost $7 and each movie download costs $8. Write and graph a linear inequality that represents this situation. Let x represent the number of albums and y the number of movies.

Is the answer: 7x + 8y = 47 (with 47 less than or equal to.) Sorry I don't know how to write the more than or less than signs on your web page.
