sara ran 1 2/5 miles around track. this was 5 /8 of distance around the whole track. what is the distance around the track?

algebra
Phil Rewa,
Well lets think logically. She ran 1 2/5ths (or 1.40) multiply 1.40 times 5 and you get ________ total distance she ran. Then multiply 1.40 times 8 and you get the total distance around the track.
Stuff like this forget about all the math and just set back and think about reality and that should help.
