what is "volunatary allegiance of colonists to the crown" and why was it taken out of the Declaration of Independace?
1 answer
That phrase means that those who wanted to do so could give their allegiance to England. It was taken out of the Declaration of Independence because it was felt that if people supported England, then they wouldn't be loyal to the new United States.
