**Damon**, Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 1:27amd = (1/2) g t^2 = 4.9 t^2

if t = 1/2 for example

d = 4.9/4 = 1.225 meters

to get speed

v = g t = 9.8 t

if t = 2 seconds
