p(x) = 2x^4 - 3x^3 + 5x^2 - 1
p(4) = 2(4^4) - 3(4^3) + 5(4^2) - 1
= 2(256) - 3(64) + 5(16) - 1
= 512 - 192 + 80 - 1
= 399
