Ok I worked real hard on this :) I hope I nailed it this time.

My other question is : Is it one space after commas? Two spaces after a period ? and one space after an exclamation mark.

Ok fingers crossed !

Anna, I am so happy you’ve moved back to Burlington from Bay view, Ohio! I’ve missed you over the years and Burlington is a great place for you to start your new job search. In fact just yesterday I was talking with my boss at Metropolitan Music Company, Mr. Juzek, and he said he needs an assistant. He desperately needs someone to assist him with the growing demand in orders for violins and supplies within our company. The position requires processing incoming orders, making sure shipments of products and supplies go out in a timely manner, and taking care of travel plans in the event of a trade show. He needs someone who is organized, who is patient and who is able to keep up with the pace of the incoming orders. As you’ve shown on various occasions at your previous workplace, you have the patience, the organization, and the ability to always work quickly and efficiently while problem-solving without hesitation. I sincerely believe this position is perfect for you, and I believe you’re just what my boss is looking for in an assistant. I highly recommend you apply for this position as it can open many doors for your future. It can also provide you stability, great benefits, and the security in a permanent position that I know you’ve been wanting for a long time. With that said, I hope to see your application in our office soon and I will make sure to put in a good word for you to Mr. Juzek.

One space after each comma, period, question mark, exclamation mark, colon, semicolon. The only exceptions would be when ending a quoted sentence or question; then there's no space between the punctuation and the closing quotation marks but a space after the closing quotation marks before going on to the next sentence.

Good corrections ... good paragraph!

=)

Then why do they always say two spaces after periods? In school in my younger years I was told 2 spaces after a comma and I could swear in my Penn foster administrative assistant writting book they said two after a period ! so confusing lol !

Thanks again for all you`ve done.

Great job on your writing! Now, let's answer your question about spacing.

The conventional rule for spacing after punctuation marks has evolved over time. In modern writing, it is generally accepted to use just one space after commas, periods, and exclamation marks. This is the current standard practice in most style guides and writing conventions.

In your example, it appears that you have already followed this rule correctly. You have used one space after each comma, period, and exclamation mark. Great job!

Remember, it is always essential to follow the style guide or formatting guidelines provided by the organization or publication you are writing for. However, in general, one space after a comma, period, or exclamation mark is considered the standard practice in modern writing.
