It reproduce because like it make more cells and the more cells they more then.... you live and be healthy.

mitosis important for growth and development, reproduction of a species

repair and replacement of damaged parts

OH OK.

Thank You Shreya!!! :)
PS: It's pretty much similer to what I wrote but now I understand it since you explain it to me so I was correct but well... close.

you're welcome glad i could be a help :)

Yes, you are partially correct in stating that mitosis is important because it allows for reproduction. However, mitosis also plays a crucial role in growth, development, and repair of cells and tissues in multicellular organisms.

During mitosis, a parent cell divides into two identical daughter cells, each with the same number of chromosomes as the parent cell. This process ensures genetic continuity and stability, allowing organisms to grow, replace damaged or dead cells, and regenerate tissues.

In addition to reproduction, mitosis is essential for various life processes such as embryonic development, wound healing, and tissue maintenance. It allows for the expansion and differentiation of cells and is responsible for the constant renewal of our skin, blood, and other essential body components.

So, while reproduction is one aspect of why mitosis is important, its role in growth, development, and tissue repair are equally vital for the survival and functioning of living organisms.
