Why is mitosis an important life process?

My Answer: The reason why mitosis is an important to life process is because it reproduce.

Am I correct????

Yes or no

If no then please explain why. BTW: I didn't guess that answer ot anything I done a little research throught my notes and that is what I think.

It reproduce because like it make more cells and the more cells they more then.... you live and be healthy.
