4a. Daughter = 38 - 32 = 6 years old

(38+X) / (6+X) = 3,

3x + 18 = X + 38,

3x - x = 38 - 18,

2x = 20,

X = 10 Years.

4b. His daughter is 32 yrs younger than

him:

Daughter = = 64 - 32 = 32 years old.

Ratio = 64/32 = 2/1.
