for your equations,
multiply the 1st by 18 , the LCM
12 - 16 = 3c
-4 = 3c
c = -4/3
2nd, multiply by 6
2z + 6 = 3z - 18
-z = -24
z = 24
-5(a+2) = -5a - 10
How did you get 3c?
