43 + 114 + x = 180

Solve for x.

Ms. Sue, I am not an expert but I know that the numbers all have to be on one side and the letter on the other

Ex.

43+114+X=180

114+43=157

157+X=180

Do the opposite operation to get letter alone so it would be -157 on both sides..

157+X=180

-157+X=180-157

X=23
