In order to predict the percentage of males and females three assumptions must be considered: 1. The X carrying sperm and Y carrying sperm have an equal chance of fetilization: 2. The egg and sperm combine at random: 3. the XX and XY zygotes have equal chance of development at birth.
QUESTION: therefore, what percent of offspring would you expect to be female? ___% would you expect to be male? ____%
