please help me put this in algebra equation?

baseball regular season =162 games
after playing 54 of them team a has 28 wins . A. how many wins will team have at end of season, 54/162 = 1/3
so I know answer is 28 x 3 = 84 wins
B. what is % of games won by team so far this season to nearest tenth I think 28 divided 54 = 59.9% ?
C. use answer from A. to find % tha team is projected to win for season? ! think 162 x .529 = 84 maybe answer but i do not know how to set up equation.
Thank you for your help?

A is correct

B is correct
C projected wins = 162 * (28/54)

current percentage * no of games

A. Right. 28 wins out of 54 games 28/54=.52 or 52% so 108 games left and 52% of 108 is 56 wins projected plus 28 already won so 84 wins at end of the season.

B. You are right 28/54 but answer 0.51851 to nearest tenth is 51.9%

C. Projected wins for the season is 84 and 84 out of 162 or 84/162= 52%

A. To find the total number of wins at the end of the season, you can set up a proportion. Since the team has played 54 out of 162 games and has 28 wins, you can express this as 54/162 = 28/x, where x represents the total number of wins at the end of the season. Now, we can solve for x by cross-multiplying:

(54)(x) = (162)(28)

54x = 4536

Dividing both sides by 54 gives:

x = 84

Therefore, the team is projected to have 84 wins at the end of the season.

B. To calculate the percentage of games won by the team so far this season, you can divide the number of wins (28) by the number of games played (54) and then multiply by 100 to get a percentage:

(28/54) * 100 = 51.9%

Therefore, the team has won approximately 51.9% of the games played so far this season.

C. To find the percentage of games projected to be won for the entire season, you can divide the total number of projected wins (84) by the total number of games (162) and then multiply by 100:

(84/162) * 100 ≈ 51.9%

Therefore, the team is projected to win approximately 51.9% of the games for the entire season.
