96+(-100)+773+(-297)+10+(-251)

Subtract the negative sum from the positive sum.

if you add a negative number, it is the same as subtracting. if rewritten as
96-100+773-297+10-251
then it is much simpler to look at.
when put in a calculator you end with an answer of 231
