Homework Help: Algebra

I have two questions--
1.What is the population of a town after 6 years if it is increasing annually by 3.5%. The population is at 6,000 people right now.

I did6000x(1+0.035)^6 = 7375.53 or 7376 people

2. The value of car is 28,000 dollars. If car depreciate at 20% per year, what is the value after 6 years. Thank you
