Can someone please simplify this for me, just need a simple definition for St. Louis, ocean liner.

-Over 900 Jewish refugees on board, was refused permission to dock when it appeared off the east coast of Canada. The ship was forced to return to Europe, where many of the passengers died in concentration camps.

In 1939, the St. Louis was an ocean liner carrying Jewish refugees that couldn't dock in North America and was forced to return to Germany and certain death for the refugees.

Thanks so much :)

You're very welcome.

Certainly! St. Louis was an ocean liner ship that carried over 900 Jewish refugees during World War II. When it arrived near the east coast of Canada, it was denied permission to dock. As a result, the ship had to return to Europe. Tragically, many of the passengers on board ended up dying in concentration camps during the Holocaust.
