write the square root of 32as a power of 2 and hence solve the equation 16to the power of x1=2 square root of 32

maths
Steve,
since 32 = 2^5,
sqrt(32) = 32^(1/2) = (2^5)^(1/2) = 2^(5/2)
16^(x1) = 2 * 2^(5/2) = 2^(1 + 5/2) = 2^(7/2)
16 = 2^4
2^(4x4) = 2^(7/2)
so,
4x4 = 7/2
8x8 = 7
8x = 15
x = 15/8
