leo saw 8 times more snails than starfish at the aquarium. he saw 10 more sea horses than starfish. leo saw 70 animals. how many of each did he see?

Let x = starfish, the 8x = snails and x+10 = sea horses.

x + 8x + x + 10 = 70

Solve for x and then the other terms.
