2 cos(sqrt( x)) = 1 Divide both sides with 2
cos(sqrt( x)) = 1 / 2
( cos( pi / 3 ) = 1 / 2 )
So :
sqrt ( x ) = pi / 3 Square both sides
x = pi^2 / 9
