triangle ABC is congruent to triangle PQR, AB = 38 .QR = 28 and PQ = 5x+8 . find x value

If PQ corresponds to AB of the other triangle, and they are congruent, then
5x +8 = 38
5x = 30
x = 6
The information about QR is not needed.
