How can I find the square root symbol to submit problems? Every time I choose the symbol that resembles the square root the actual format changes. When I sumbmit to you it looks like some crazy symbol. It makes the problems look totally different than they should be.

If you have a PC, try

alt 251 (on the number pad)

to produce the √ sign

If you can't remember that, or don't have a number pad, put "sqrt" in front of what you want to take the square root of.

To find the square root symbol and ensure it displays correctly, you can follow these steps depending on the platform or software you are using:

1. If you are working on a computer:
- Use the shortcut key combination "Alt + 251" from the numeric keypad to insert the square root symbol (√) in most text editors or word processors.
- In Microsoft Word, you can also go to the "Insert" tab, click on the "Symbol" button, and select the square root symbol from the list.
- For online platforms or websites, you can often find the square root symbol (√) in the symbols or special characters menu.

2. If you are using a mobile phone or tablet:
- On iOS devices like iPhones and iPads, you can use the "hold and press" method on the number "2" key on the keyboard to bring up additional options, including the square root symbol.
- On Android devices, you can usually access the square root symbol (√) by pressing and holding the "/" or "%" key on the keyboard.

It's important to note that the appearance of symbols may vary across different platforms, software, or fonts. If you are experiencing a formatting issue when submitting problems, it may be due to compatibility issues between platforms. To ensure the correct symbol is displayed, you can double-check if the symbol has been converted or replaced during the submission.
