I think there is no solution
If that is (q+7)/4 + (q-3)/3 = 5/2, there is of course a solution.
q/4 + 7/4 + q/3 - 1 = 5/2
7q/12 + 3/4 = 5/2
7q/12 = 7/4
q = 7/4 * 12/7 = 3
10/4 + 0/3 = 5/2 true
