- MATH (REPLY FAST) -
**Jai**, Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 2:48am4 - 3|m + 2| > -14

there are two cases here.

Case I: |m + 2| = m + 2

4 - 3(m+2) > -14

4 - 3m - 6 > -14

-3m - 2 > -14

-3m > -12

m < 4

Case II: |m + 2| = -(m + 2)

4 - (-3(m+2)) > -14

4 + 3m + 6 > -14

3m + 10 > -14

3m > -24

m > -8

therefore, all real numbers between -8 and 4, or:

-8 < m < 4

hope this helps~ :)
