there are two cases here.
Case I: |m + 2| = m + 2
4 - 3(m+2) > -14
4 - 3m - 6 > -14
-3m - 2 > -14
-3m > -12
m < 4
Case II: |m + 2| = -(m + 2)
4 - (-3(m+2)) > -14
4 + 3m + 6 > -14
3m + 10 > -14
3m > -24
m > -8
therefore, all real numbers between -8 and 4, or:
-8 < m < 4
