PLEASE HELP!!!
In a basketball free-throw shooting contest, the points made by Sam and Wilbur were in the ratio 7:9. Wilbur made 6 more points than Sam. find the number of points made by each...... I'm so confused

7x+6=9x
6=2x
x=3
Sam made 7x which is 21
Wilbur made 9x which is 27
