Mary Cassatt was an American painter and printmaker. Known to this day as a “painter of mothers and children” She did paintings of Impressionism to record visual reality. Cassatt strokes of color are light, vibrant and emotional. But few know the American woman artist Mary Cassatt. Is it because she was a woman and an American?
