Homework Help: Written Analysis

I would really appreciate help with a paper i'm having mental block with!
The should be a paper on a topic that is hotly debated in American society and the article should be written by an author with an opposing view to my own. The article should include information about the author or the author should be well published that you can find biographical information about him him or her on the Internet. Summarize the issue and key points the author uses to persuade the reader to agree with his or her position. Identify the author's personal or professional background and any affiliations that would affect the thinking. Document your reaction to the author's viewpoint and his or her arguments.

First you'll need to find two or three issues that you feel strongly about.

Some obvious issues:
abortion
death penalty
nuclear weapons
war in Afghanistan

Then research the other point of view. Find an author for whom you can find biographical information.
